From the Desk of:
Steve Elliott, Grassfire

Friend,

I just arrived in Moore along with two of my Grassfire coworkers to assist the Mercy Chefs team in their enormous operations here in Moore - and to bring you first-hand accounts of what we see here.

We were immediately put to work to accompany a Mercy Chefs team into the hardest hit area of Moore, which is still off-limits to most volunteers. Thankfully, we  personally delivered meals to families who were meticulously sorting through the rubble of their homes looking for valuables and keepsakes.

Lone guy salvaging

One woman thanked me in tears because this was the first meal she had received.

Meals were delivered to neighborhoods where the devastation is block after block. Local volunteers, including members of the Air Force, went door to door delivering hot meals and bottled water.

Delivering food - OK

+ + A long road ahead for the people of Moore!

The devastation here is unthinkable and certainly the worst I have ever seen.

Difficult days lie ahead for the people of Moore. Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

+  + Mercy Two in route

Due to the magnitude of this crisis, Gary LeBlanc mobilized "Mercy Two" which is now in route to Moore from Virginia. Once both kitchens up and running, Mercy Chefs will be serving thousands of meals every day.

This is a catastrophe of epic proportions - and precisely why Mercy Chefs and part of our Grassfire team is here.

Once again, I must look to you and my friends at Grassfire to answer the call and help as much as possible.

As a non-profit organization, Mercy Chefs can only extend the hand of compassion as far as faithful friends like you make it possible.

Will you help Mercy Chefs provide chef-quality hot meals to the people here who are so very grateful for this act of kindness?

For just $50, Mercy Chefs can feed as many as 20 people; $100 will help feed 40 people; $250 will feed 100 people. Perhaps you can make an extraordinary contribution to help meet this extraordinary need. Of course, every gift will help. No gift is too small or too large!

Click here to be taken to Mercy Chefs' PayPal donation page where you can make your tax-deductible gift directly to Mercy Chefs.

Thank you for reaching out and helping the people in the heartland of America with your contribution and prayers!

P.S. Mercy Chefs is rapidly becoming one of the premiere disaster relief organizations because of the quality of their meals and unwavering desire to serve.

Today, Fox News used a video clip of Mercy Chefs volunteers delivering meals in Moore.

Please help with whatever gift is possible. Thanks in advance for your support.
